SAFARI ITINERARY
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 9:30 am and set off on the short twenty-minute drive to the village of Materuni, located in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we'll embark on a hiking route to the Materuni Waterfalls. The trail, which is around an hour-long, will take us through lush green vegetation and past the houses of the Chaga people who live here, one of the largest ethnic groups in Tanzania. During your trek, your guide will tell you all about the Chaga way of life. On reaching the waterfall, you'll be left speechless by the sheer size of the falls. You'll have the opportunity here to enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural pool below.
We'll take a break at midday to eat our picnic lunch, and then once we've restored our energy levels we'll walk over to a nearby coffee plantation to learn all about this delicious locally grown product. From the bean to the cup, we'll see how natural coffee is roasted, and of course - you'll get to taste it too! At the end of the day, we'll return to the car and make the return journey to Moshi, where you'll be dropped back off at your hotel at around 5:30 pm.
