This compact safari is ideal for those who are on a tight schedule or those looking for a weekend getaway. A visit to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater offers the best wildlife viewing experience for these two days. The high concentration of wildlife in these two parks offers great opportunities to see lots of animals quickly.

Safari Itinerary

Arrival: Arriving In Tanzania
Our Safari adventure starts the moment you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. You will be met by our staff at the airport and transferred to your peaceful accommodation in Arusha.

Before your briefing with the guides who will provide essential safari info—don’t be afraid to ask any questions!

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park and enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch box.
The park features natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa and is home to three rare species: the Greater Kudu, Fringed-eared Oryx, and Ashy Starlings.
Game viewing time: 6–7 hours | Overnight: Mto wa Mbu – Fanaka Campsite | Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater with a lunch box for a full-day game drive on the crater floor.
Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world, home to an estimated 30,000 animals including Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos, herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards. We will enjoy a picnic lunch right on the crater floor.
Later in the afternoon, ascend the steep walls of the crater and transfer back to Arusha town or directly to the airport.
